Scrapbook, 1854-1887, apparently kept by Edwin W. Coggeshall. It contains views of Baltimore; poems; newspaper clippings, some dealing with the Civil War; ephemera relating to the activities of groups with which he was involved, including the Hermean Society (a literary and debating club), the Manhattan Union Club (a political club active during the Civil War), the Night Watchers of the New England Soldiers' Relief Association (active during the Civil War), and the Citizens' Guard (material dated 1861); stock certificates; school reports dated 1854; ms. letter dated 1887.
